She is a curious young girl, but also a quiet one, and as she grows older she begins to understand more and more the harsh reality of the life she will be leading in the future.
It is a terrible thing to have one’s imagination and childhood stolen from them, but that is exactly what has happened to Ji Su, as her parents have explained to her many times that this is the drab and unfortunate life she will live. They expect her to follow in their footsteps and become a shoemaker.
She has little to no friends, and despite her curiosity, she rarely has the chance to explore the city. She tells herself that if she were to have the opportunity, she might just run away from home for a little while, so that she may go and see this terrible world she will eventually call home.
